HP UPS Network Module

У ИБП HP (конкретно в модели R5000) есть модуль управления, который называется HP UPS Network Module, и на нём 2 порта: левый LAN, правый служебный, rs232 консоль с 8p8c (rj45) разъёмом.



Настройки сети по умолчанию:
DHCP
логин через http, с реквизитами admin:admin

HP UPS Management Module - How to Reset Password

If there is not any other user with "Administrator" privileges that can login into the UPS Management Module, then the only way to change the password is via serial connection.

These are the steps:

1. Connect a network cable in the "Config-PassThru" port on the UPS Management Module, and the other end to a server or laptop, with a RJ45 to DB9 serial converter. (check page 21 from the UPS Management Module User Guide )
2. Run HyperTerminal or any other console emulation software (like PuTTY).
3. Press the RESET button on the UPS Management Module.
4. Get into the Service Menu as soon as shown in the window.
5. Go to Module Configuration (option 1)
6. Go to User Accounts (option 4)
7. Go to Change Password (option 2)
8. The menu will ask for the user that need the password change; type it.
9. Write the new password.
10. Press 0 (zero) to get to the previous menu.
11. Press S to "Save New Changes".
